Volunteer Work 

With the aim of contributing to community-based development efforts, SYTO has already placed international volunteers from Western Europe, Canada, the US and Australia in projects as diverse as: Agriculture, Education, Environment, Health Care, Orphanages, Broadcasting, Office Work etc.

Work and Travel

The WAT program offers students the chance to discover the US, and improve their English, while working for 4-5 months between June and October of each year. The program sent 3 participants to the US in 1999, 12 in 2000, 3 in 2002, 4 in 2003, 3 in 2004 and 8 in 2006.

Internship

For graduates who already have professional experience and wish to gain work experience in an English-speaking country such as Ghana or the US, or a bilingual experience in French-speaking Canada, SYTO offers an internship program for extended time periods.

Humanitarian Projects

  • Sourcing financial aid (for the construction of health centres, schools, orphanages)
  • Collaboration with NGO Iris Mundial;
    Eye-sight; eye surgery, free consultations and donations of glasses
    Hernia surgery
  • Sponsorship of orphans and children in difficulty through material and financial donations

ISIC

ISIC is the only internationally accepted student ID card. Distributed in 110 countries, it has been endorsed by UNESCO since 1968. SYTO Benin has offered the card to Beninese youth since 1999. Academic Placements
SYTO acts as an intermediary between overseas schools and universities and students or workers who wish to pursue studies overseas.
